About me
My name is Megan Lydom-Howe, the owner of Alpine Ember Co since its launch in 2019. Every candle sold is hand-poured by myself in my studio in Edmonton, Alberta. When I am not in the studio overseeing the many facets of running a company I can usually be found with my family. Balancing the schedules of three young children while being an entrepreneur drives my passion to build Alpine Ember Co to be a responsible, sustainable company. From selecting high quality ingredients to managing the jar return program I strive to make products that have a positive impact on your life as well.

COMMITMENT TO QUALITY
We understand that you want the very best, we want that for you too. That’s why we’ve sourced the highest quality materials we could find for our products. Our candles are made with: a coconut soy wax blend; Wooden Wicks sourced from Forest Stewardship Council certified mills; phthalate free fragrance oils that do not trigger asthma or allergies; and recycled kraft paper packaging.

SUSTAINABILITY - JAR RETURN PROGRAM
At Alpine Ember, sustainability is one of our core values. We want to create candles that you love while also lowering our carbon footprint - but we need your help! Return your empty jars to us for $1.00 off of your next candle. Send us a message if you’re in the Edmonton area and we’ll arrange a local drop off or pick up, it’s that simple. Use the code RETURN1 at checkout to return one jar. If you have more than one jar to return, replace the “1” with the number of jars you have.
GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
Our Charity Partner: $1.00 from each candle purchased will be donated to CHEW Project, who provide critical frontline support to LGBTQ2S+ youth & young adults facing barriers in mental health issues, violence, poverty, homelessness, substance use issues, sexual health issues, and sexual exploitation.
